The beginning of our Wedding Plan Journey

Today was the first day I have dedicated some time to our wedding. Between purchasing our first home, the kids, work, and school I have neglected any time to our wedding; however, I have to admit that I am a bit overwhelmed! My sis in-law, Jenny gave me "The Ultimate Wedding Planning Guide" a couple of weeks after I got engaged, which by the way was on February 13th, 2010, and I have yet to read a complete chapter; although I have schemed through it ;). I don't know the FIRST thing about planning a wedding, therefore thank god for "the guide" and Google! I also signed up for ONE online wedding site, "The Knot" and it seems like it will come in handy frequently. I have some idea of what I want for my wedding, but it's still not unambiguous. I knew that I would have to start somewhere… and soon… so today I was finally able to contact several venues and I was successful in setting up an appointment for this upcoming Saturday at one of the venues that we have in mind; let’s see how this goes… I will be posting an update after we go to our meeting. Can’t wait… super excited!
